Skimming devices capture the information in the magnetic strip. Shimmers are thin pieces of metal inserted into an ATM or a machine at a point of payment to capture information in the microchip. They are small and almost impossible to detect when looking at a machine from the outside.

Inspect machines before use and cover the keypad when entering your PIN.

We also encourage you to use the “tap-to-pay” option or the digital wallet on your mobile phone.

Review your account history frequently and report any suspicious activity on your account immediately.
